In this material, skin tones were classified using the Fitzpatrick Scale. The most famous classification of skin phototypes, created in 1976 by the American physician Thomas B. Fitzpatrick. He classified skin into phototypes from one to six, based on each person's ability to tan, as well as sensitivity and redness when exposed to the sun, as follows:
Type I - Pale white - Burns easily - Never tans
Type II - White - Burns easily - Tans very little
Type III - Light brown - Burns moderately - Tans
Type IV - Moderate brown - Burns little - Always tans
Type V - Dark brown - Rarely burns - Always tans
Type VI - Black - Does not burn - Highly pigmented
There are 4 skin tones: warm, cool, neutral and olive.
